The second unit at Peddimore is proposed to be Rockwool. This unit will complete the construction of

Peddimore Phase 1.

Rockwool have held two initial meetings and say a consultation will follow.

BESS Battery Park Update

A planning application has been submitted for this battery park as at 18.12.24.

The planning application number to search for is 2024/08003/PA

Phase 1 consists of two units. The first unit, Amazon, is complete and operational, the second is still to be constructed. Developer I.M.Properties are advertising for a company to take the second unit. Construction will not take place without a company coming forward. Units are built specifically to requirement.

Amazon opens in 10 weeks!

Please ask your friends and neighbours to consider joining WRA to grow our numbers.  WRA are monitoring the road situation to make sure the developers follow the correct plans etc.

Amazon will now be opening October 2023 (previously this was 2026)  1000 employees are moving here from their Rugeley site, which is now closing.  There will be 400 new jobs available. When fully operational there will be around 2000 employees at Amazon Minworth. Amazon already have a storage warehouse at Midpoint Industrial Estate.

June 2023

Amazon has confirmed ownership of the large structure at Peddimore.  Completion date has not yet been given.

This week has seen notices to stop up a length of Peddimore Lane and Wishaw Lane

Copies of the order may be obtained from the Secretary Of State, National Transport Casework Team, at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk

(quoting NATTRAN/WM/S247/3752).
