‘Useful’ Jeff Gilbert of Walmley – Final Journey
Due to ongoing Covid restrictions Jeff will be having a private family funeral on Monday 26 July at Streetly Crematorium as invited by the immediate family.
However, Jeff’s funeral procession will be walked through the village at approximately 11am. It would be lovely to see as many people as possible to see Jeff off on his final journey through the village, all are welcome!
There will be some space outside the crematorium to listen to the service should anyone wish to attend at 11.30am. Please contact Helen on 07799 357670 if you would like to do this so numbers can be maintained.
There is a small wake being held at Walmley Social Club after the service from 12.30 if anyone wished to join the family.
Later in the summer a public memorial service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be organised where all will be welcome. The family have asked for family flowers only but donations can be made in Jeff’s name to one of the following charities that he supported: RSPB, RNLI, PDSA or CRUK.
